Point, Anza-Borrego, California
A
4-mile long sand road leads out to this chasm in Anza-Borrego Desert
State Park, California. My rental car nearly got stuck a few times
as I fishtailed through the dry slush, but I finally made it out
here one early winter morning. This state park is unusual in that
it surrounds a small community, Borrego Springs, where tract homes,
motels, and the monstrosities of the nouveaux-riche mar the landscape.
